RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am passionate about chemistry and science in general, with a main focus on organic and medicinal chemistry. I am part of the research group of Prof. Brindisi and Prof. Summa, working on two projects: the design and synthesis of fluorophores to develop an imaging platform enabling early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, and the development of Metallo-β-Lactamase inhibitors to combat antimicrobial resistance. I am currently working for one year in Prof. Grøtli’s group, developing novel N-Myristoyltransferase inhibitors to fight malaria.
